Talent Acquisition Manager

Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a leading senior services organization in Northern California, providing older adults with comprehensive and innovative care that fosters purpose, dignity, and joy. The campus houses Frank Residences assisted living and memory care, the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center, an acute geriatric psychiatric unit, and the Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation.

Position Overview:

The Talent Acquisition Manager plays a key leadership role in attracting, selecting, and onboarding top talent for SFCJL. This position oversees the full recruitment cycle and leads a small team to ensure an exceptional candidate experience, alignment with organizational needs, and consistent compliance with all applicable laws and best practices.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a relationship-builder, and a hands-on recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for exempt, non-exempt, managerial, and executive leadership positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for recruitment success, including quality of hire, retention rates, time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, diversity hiring goals, and satisfaction scores from candidates and hiring managers.
  • Partner with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies aligned with organizational growth, turnover trends, and succession planning.
  • Proactively build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and future critical roles through partnerships with colleges, universities, trade schools, professional associations, and community networks.
  • Drive innovative sourcing strategies, including employee referrals, networking, job boards, social media, and employer brand storytelling in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Oversee employer brand initiatives, including career site optimization, employee testimonials, and social media engagement to attract diverse, high-quality talent.
  • Supervise and mentor the recruitment team, providing coaching, guidance, and training for hiring managers on effective interviewing and candidate evaluation.
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and leverage ATS/HRIS analytics to ensure accurate postings, monitor applicant flow, track source effectiveness, forecast hiring needs, and measure quality-of-hire.
  • Continuously assess and implement new recruitment technologies, AI screening tools, and sourcing platforms to improve efficiency and reach.
  • Develop and maintain structured interview guides for consistency, compliance, and fairness.
  • Ensure full compliance with employment laws, EEO guidelines, and internal policies throughout the hiring process.
  • Oversee background checks, pre-employment testing, and reference checks for prospective hires.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal departments to understand evolving staffing needs.
  • Perform additional HR-related projects and assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience; healthcare or senior services experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising or training recruitment staff a plus.
  • Proven ability to attract, engage, and close top talent in competitive markets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organization and time management with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Greenhouse or other ATS preferred.
  • Skilled in social media recruiting, employer branding, and community outreach.
  • High level of integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and sound judgment.
  • Professional, approachable, and committed to delivering excellent candidate and manager experiences.

Pay Range: 130K - 160K
