About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable diesel/gasoline automotive mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing light and medium duty diesel/gasoline vehicles and related components. This position requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. New shop ammenities, equipment and climate controlled workspace.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, steering, suspension and other vehicle components
  • Perform routine maintenance, including but not limited to oil changes, filter replacements, mounting and balancing tires, A/C recharge etc. on light and medium duty vehicles
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues accurately
  • Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work is completed to company standards
  • Manage parts inventory and order parts as needed
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair status and timelines
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs if necessary
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Technical certification or associate degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic preferred
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicle safely
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Knowledge of diagnostic software and tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
