Hostess Cashier

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. You will manage reservations, greet customers, and handle transactions efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide outstanding guest relations will be key to enhancing our customers' dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using the Aloha or Micros POS systems.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments swiftly at the cash register.
• Provide information about menu items and specials, answering any guest inquiries with professionalism.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and dining spaces.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism, striving for resolution.
• Uphold high standards of customer service in line with hospitality best practices.

Experience

• Previous host/host or cashier experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
• Strong background in food service and customer service roles is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus.
• Experience in guest services or hospitality will enhance your ability to excel in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 per hour
