About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Monterey Park, CA

Details:

  • In-Person Tutoring in Monterey Park, CA
  • Schedule: 25 hours, 1 hour per session
  • Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in supporting students performing below grade level and/or with learning differences.
  • Patient, structured, and encouraging, able to create a positive and motivating learning environment.
  • Skilled in foundational literacy, math, and writing instruction.
  • Knowledgeable in IEP goals and able to adapt instruction to individual needs.
  • Bilingual in Cantonese and English preferred but not required.
  • Credentialed instructors preferred to ensure high-quality, targeted instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction in foundational math concepts and problem-solving.
  • Support foundational literacy skills, including reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary development.
  • Provide writing instruction, focusing on sentence structure, organization, conventions, and paragraph composition.
  • Implement personalized lesson plans and provide consistent homework support.
  • Use structured routines, positive reinforcement, and engaging strategies to maintain focus and motivation.
  • Incorporate the student's interests to make learning relatable and enjoyable.
  • Conduct tutor assessment to evaluate skill levels and inform instructional planning.
  • Collaborate with caregivers to align instruction with the student's IEP goals.
