The Role

The Role Proofpoint seeks a strategic and innovative Staff Product Marketing Manager to lead product marketing for Proofpoint AI Data Governance and Secure Agent Gateway, our latest solutions for protecting sensitive data and enabling safe, compliant AI use in the enterprise. In this high-impact role, you will be the subject matter expert and thought leader for Proofpoint's AI Data Governance and Secure Agent Gateway solutions. You will drive the narrative for how enterprises can safely accelerate Gen AI and agentic initiatives while preventing data loss, privacy violations, and compliance risks. You'll work cross-functionally with product management, sales, strategic partners, and marketing to deliver differentiated positioning, impactful Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies, and sales enablement. This is a unique opportunity to shape the market for secure, governed usage of GenAI and agentic solutions.

Your Day to Day

• Develop strategic positioning and messaging for Proofpoint AI Data Governance and Secure Agent Gateway, emphasizing their roles in secure AI and agentic adoption
• Define and drive thought leadership on emerging risks and compliance for responsible enterprise AI, using vision papers, analyst relations, and executive materials.
• Create high-impact content across solution briefs, webinars, presentations, demo scripts, blogs, and customer materials showcasing the business value delivered by Proofpoint
• Lead GTM strategy and launch planning for new solutions to secure and govern the use of GenAI and agentic solutions by enterprises
• Deliver engaging presentations at internal trainings, customer briefings, industry events, and analyst calls, establishing expertise in enterprise AI security.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis, acting as the organization's go-to resource for evolving threats, regulatory changes, and competitor solutions in AI security
• Build sales and partner enablement asset such as battlecards, objection handling documents, and playbooks, driving pipeline and accelerating enterprise adoption

What you bring to the team

• 7+ years in product marketing for cybersecurity, data security, or GenAI/agentic software, with direct experience at companies building enterprise generative AI, agentic software, or security platforms protecting those areas.
• Deep understanding of generative AI, AI agents, agentic architectures, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and the emerging regulatory and security requirements facing GenAI and agentic ecosystems.
• Demonstrated ability to create strategic messaging and storytelling for complex technology, tailored to technical and executive audiences.
• Experience as a thought leader establishing new product categories and influencing enterprise market direction.
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills, including executive briefings and event keynotes.
• Analytical, execution-focused approach with proven leadership in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
• A bachelor's degree is required (technical concentration preferred), and an MBA is a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable compensation and/or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package, including flexible time off, a comprehensive well-being program with two paid Wellbeing Days and two paid Volunteer Days per year, plus a three-week Work from Anywhere option.
