Location: Stuart, FL (On-site)

Shift Timing: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Weekend Shift)

Shift Differential: 10%-15% Weekend Premium

About the Opportunity

The Machinist I (Weekend Shift) will perform all aspects of machining operations to manufacture precision components. The role requires operating manual, CNC, or EDM machines and ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manual, CNC, or EDM machines independently, following process sheets and instructions.
  • Set up, adjust, and change precision tools as required for each job.
  • Load and edit programs on CNC machines.
  • Make minor adjustments to feeds, speeds, and tooling for optimal performance.
  • Grind and maintain cutting tools and drills (excluding special-purpose tools).
  • Use gauges and fixtures to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and report machine issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Support training and assist other machinists as needed.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–2 years of relevant manufacturing or machining experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (per ITAR/EAR compliance).
  • Basic understanding of machine operation and production processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance instructions.
  • Basic understanding of CNC programming and setup procedures.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude (fractions, decimals, and metric conversions).
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to safety and quality.

Working Conditions

  • Must pass an annual eye examination.
  • Regular standing, walking, and manual handling required.
  • Occasional lifting and bending in a manufacturing environment.
  • Safety glasses and PPE are mandatory at all times.
