The Procurement Systems & Information team is responsible for working with all teams within the procurement department to provide reports, systems, and process improvements to improve decision making and efficiency. We are looking for an analytical, accurate, and inquisitive individual to play an important role in the expansion of this team. This Data and Reporting Analyst role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining Power BI reports and complex data models to support key business decisions related to sales, profitability, and inventory. The position involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, writing and troubleshooting queries, creating data visualizations, and optimizing data models and DAX measures. The analyst also supports report testing, documentation, and handles inquiries through the team inbox.
Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains Power BI reports from the internal Data Warehouse that provide insights on key business decisions, including, but not limited to, sales growth, profitability, and inventory levels
- Works with internal stakeholders to provide reporting to track the health of the vendors and categories in terms of sales growth, profitability, etc.
- Write, update, and troubleshoot queries to pull data from multiple sources
- Create engaging data visualizations that highlight key insights and trends
- Build and maintain complex data models in Power BI desktop
- Optimize and document data models, queries, and DAX measures
- Monitor the team inbox and address relevant questions as needed
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Power BI features and updates
- Troubleshoot, test, and update existing Power BI reports
- Other special projects as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Experience
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working in Power BI and data modelling
- Coding skills in languages such as SQL and DAX required
Education
