Job Description:

  • The job will require a rotation of being out two weeks making deliveries and in one week managing the warehouse and making local deliveries.
  • Dispatch and assign work for drivers including providing manifest and equipment inspections weekly.
  • Provide superior customer relations for both Kenco's customer and the end customer. Maintain relations with clients.
  • Coordinate necessary repairs of fleet equipment to maintain operations.
  • Enter and update shipments throughout their lifecycle in the transportation management system.
  • Maintain list of fleet and company assets including monthly milage updates.
  • Responsible for delivery acceptance/rejection of inbound shipments. Scheduling of customer exchanges/deliveries, and outbound return shipments.
  • Run local routes. Expectation will be dictated by the volume in product.
  • Backup drivers and assist in customer deliveries as required for call outs and/or PTO.
  • Deliver and install customer products in residential locations and update customers on delivery times and expectations. Remove defective products from residential locations.
  • Meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulatory requirements and follow state and county laws and ordinances.
  • Required to follow company policy, participate in required trainings and keep truck clean.
  • Maintain driver's daily logs on Electronic Logging Device (ELD), trip reports and other documents as required.
  • Conform to all relevant Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Additional functions at manager's discretion.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience driving box trucks is required.
  • Pass DOT Medical examination.
  • Class A or B is preferred. Ability to secure F endorsement, if required by licensing state.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Be organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to foster a teamwork environment.
  • Obtain customer's certification for installations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and Transportation Management System applications (For example: TMW, Mercury Gate, McLeod, etc.)
  • Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Travel Requirements

  • This position is expected to travel approximately 50% - 75%.
  • A passport is not required but recommended.
