Join our team as a Clerical Aide in Upper Marlboro, MD. This position supports day to day operations through customer service, data entry, and general administrative tasks.

Essential Duties:

  • Greet visitors, answer phones, and assist with customer inquiries.
  • Enter and update customer records in the library database.
  • Organize and maintain files, records, and display areas.
  • Sort and shelve materials accurately.
  • Collect customer fines and fees.
  • Coordinate and distribute office supply orders.
  • Support special projects, meetings, and events.
  • Serve as a positive ambassador for the Library.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (work permit required if under 18).
  • Great communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to shelve 100 books per hour.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, email, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Physical ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, and frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds.

Work Schedule: Tuesday 4-8pm; Wednesday 4-8pm; Saturday 1-5pm
