Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries has a 2026 Internship Position available at the Essex, VT site for a Specialty Gas Engineering Intern

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Learn Specialty and Bulk gas distribution systems across the site
• Develop and evaluate key system metrics and reporting. Utilize data for continuous improvement
• Perform project planning, technical analysis and evaluation of system options and alternatives.
• Perform engineering design activities for assigned systems; these will include capital upgrade evaluations and planning, and expense projects.
• Assist and learn maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas systems in conjunction with Technicians and Engineers
• Work with other Facilities departments, including the FAB manufacturing team, to troubleshoot and solve gas-related issues

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Education – Actively pursuing a Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering Degree or related field.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior related internship or co-op experience
• Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning & organizational skills
