We're looking for experienced Mechanical Maintainers to join our Mobile Maintenance team at Kennecott Copper. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic, safety-focused environment, working on some of the largest mobile mining equipment in the industry.
As part of the Kennecott Asset Management department, you'll play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our heavy mobile fleet, including haul trucks, water trucks, and auxiliary equipment such as dozers, graders and excavators.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Mobile Maintenance, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on large-scale mobile equipment
- Diagnosing faults and implementing safe, timely, and effective solutions to minimize downtime
- Operating tools and equipment safely and efficiently to complete repairs
- Following all safety, environmental, and company procedures and standards.

What you'll bring
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with heavy-duty diesel mechanical systems, including hydraulics and electrical fundamentals
- A strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Willingness and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night)
- Confidence in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and standard work procedures
- Familiarity with diagnostic software for Cummins, Komatsu, and Caterpillar systems is highly desirable
- Valid Driver's License

Where You'll Be Working
Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah. We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum, tellurium, and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
