Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both staff and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, contributing to the overall functionality of the premises.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure a clean environment.
  • Carry out janitorial duties such as dusting surfaces, emptying trash bins, and sanitizing restrooms.
  • Conduct floor care activities including buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Assist with commercial cleaning projects as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Utilize proper cleaning techniques and equipment to ensure effective results in both residential and industrial settings.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly after use.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is essential.
  • Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks and facilities upkeep is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work consistently.
