Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining the flow of service in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize dining space.
  • Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
  • Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations or answering inquiries as needed.
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Handle guest relations effectively, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management to enhance guest experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous host/host or food service experience is required
  • 2 years minimum experience at full service restaurant as a host/hostess required
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems such as RESY/Opent Table is a plus.
  • Experience in restaurant or hotel settings is advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
