We are currently seeking a QC Technician to join our Sentai Operations team based in our Houston, TX office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform quality control proofing for materials and discs in production in line with the best practicing procedures, ensuring that product reaching the consumer consistently meets or exceeds a high standard. 
  • Screening of anime motion pictures and television content for video and audio quality issues as well as grammar checks for written material, such as subtitles and close captions. 
  • Verification of Video Master Quality including QC of Video, Audio, Subtitles, Close Captions, Metadata for Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray cable and internet media formats.  
  • Notify Supervisor and/or engineering staff immediately about any equipment problems. 
  • Maintain daily QC report log for client and management. 
  • Handle daily simulcast assignments and process them in a timely manner. 
  • Proofread and assist in final checks on written materials for special projects that fall outside of media formats.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

  • High School degree required. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Must share the company's fundamental commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. 
  • High level of attention to visual and audible detail along with possessing excellent grammar skills are required. 
  • Must be comfortable with technology and computer literate. 
  • Working knowledge of the following: Microsoft Windows, MS Office, Microsoft Excel  
  • JIRA knowledge is a plus but can be trained. 
  • Must be able to review, comprehend and summarize detailed status on numerous activities. 
  • Must solve problems within scope of responsibility (or route problems to appropriate individuals). 
  • Must speak and write clearly and effectively. 
  • Must provide guidance regarding policies, reason through issues, and handle multiple concurrent tasks. 
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and prioritize/schedule work accordingly.  
  • A plus for the candidate to have knowledge of the media. 

The base compensation range for this position is $36,525.00 commensurate with experience.
