Tax Specialist
role is for you. In this role, you'll ensure timely and accurate processing of all client payroll tax responsibilities, effectively resolve tax-related issues and deliver the exceptional service Checkwriters is known for.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a variety of payroll tax tasks — from monthly filings to annual reporting — ensuring everything runs smoothly and on time.
  • Research and resolve tax notices from federal, state, and local agencies with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to resolve issues quickly and effectively, always providing top-tier customer service.
  • Keep client data organized, accurate, and secure.
  • Cross-train with other departments to strengthen your skills and support your teammates.

What You Bring

  • Prior payroll and/or payroll tax experience, preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to organization, detail, and accuracy; solid numerical aptitude and proven analytical ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, proactively and consistently follow up with internal associates and clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented, client-focused position.
  • A strict adherence to, and understanding of, confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Outstanding work ethic and a positive attitude.
