Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage payment schedules and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate records in the general ledger.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Human Resources, to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Utilize financial software and HRIS systems for tracking expenses and reporting.
  • Maintain vendor relationships by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with technical accounting and public accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software such as Paychex, Quickbooks, or similar applications.
  • Familiarity with debits, credits, and general ledger reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
