Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric services in an inpatient residential mental health setting. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, clinically strong, and comfortable working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team. This role focuses on comprehensive psychiatric assessment, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning to support optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and mental health assessments
  • Diagnose psychiatric conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Order, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications; adjust treatment as clinically indicated
  • Review, interpret, and act on laboratory and diagnostic data
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Document all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely in the EHR
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state regulations, clinical standards, and facility policies

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric–Mental Health Nursing
  • Active, unrestricted Florida APRN license or ability to practice in Florida
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of current psychiatric best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Must maintain individual professional liability insurance with minimum coverage of $1,000,000 / $3,000,000
  • Experience with or willingness to learn KIPU EHR

Position Details

  • Schedule: Approximately 4 hours daily
