Installation Services Welder

CSI is currently recruiting for an experienced lead person/welder to lead a field crew in performing installation services for our sanitary process systems at customer sites. Welding job duties include TIG welding, grinding, polishing, and operation of forklifts, torches, saws, drills, and other equipment. Accurate reading of tape, scale, blueprints, drawings, and schematics is required. Assist with pipe fitting as needed.

Our install teams are the face of CSI to our customers. Being committed to safety on the job and representing the company well are important elements of this position. As a working lead, you are also responsible for oversight of the field installation of sanitary process systems, which requires leadership and coaching skills. Overnight and/or weekend travel is necessary and, at times, may be as much as 100%. A valid Class E driver�s license, or ability to obtain one, is required. Travel is either by air or company vehicles.

Field installation positions are very active and require constant standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance. Visual acuity is required to perform work using close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be exposed to environmental factors typical of welding and field installation. Working outside or in non-climate controlled environments may be required. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, such as fall protection, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes.

Salary: $33 - $40 an hour

Required Skills:

• Strong attention to detail is necessary to complete work as required.
• Must possess a good understanding of welding techniques and the ability to apply those techniques to create quality work for the customer.

• Ability to effectively lead and coach others is critical.

Required Experience:

• TIG Welding experience, required
• 2-3 years sanitary tube welding, required
• Pipe fitting, preferred
• Operation of basic construction equipment, preferred
• Fork lift
• Drill motor Plasma torch Scissor lift Saw
• Experience working at customers� facilities, preferred
• Experience in a lead position is desired
