Qualifications:

 
  1. Tenured School Social Work
  2. Proficient/Excellent cumulative rating on evaluations the past 4 years
  3. Appropriate professional certification
  4. Master's Degree required
 

Responsibilities of School School Work Chair:

 

School School Work Support

 

  1. Facilitate communication throughout the district regarding school social work needs and goals.

  2. Provide guidance to School Social Work group to improve consistency in procedures.

  3. Coordinate School Social Work requests for approved assessments, materials & supplies for annual orders.

 

Assessment

 

  1. Coordinate School Social Work online assessment tools.

 

Communication

 

  1. Meet periodically with the Director of Special Education.

  2. Attend regularly scheduled meetings at the district level for school social workers 

  3. Assist with coordination and leadership of annual institutes/workshops/staff development presentations for school social work group.

  4. Assist with development of policies and procedures regarding Medicaid.

  5. Assist in the development of materials for parents/teachers/school/community information.

 

Leadership

 

  1. Serve as communication liaison between the administration and the members of the School Social Work group.

  2. Assist with leadership of School Social Work PLC meetings

  3. Provide leadership in review of school social work materials.

  4. Serve as consultant/liaison for ordering school social work assessments, materials, and supplies.

  5. School social work chair will meet with the Director of Special Education to review chair expectations as defined by Schedule B protocol.

 

 

 

Compensation:

 

Per the Schedule B Salary Schedule, the pay rate is $3,762.
