At Kitson LA, the focus is on helping customers discover the latest trends, up-and-coming designers, as well as unique styles and gifts. Kitson LA is the must visit lifestyle boutique all Los Angeles locals and visitors

About the role:

This is a part-time cashier role. Availability on eeekends a MUST. Candidate will be required to accurately check out customers while multi-tasking. Beverly Hills location.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Having a cheery demeanor
  • Ringing out sales for sales associates and for house sales
  • Add on to sales by mentioning promos and small gift items at register area
  • Counting registers accurately and efficiently
  • Helping customers with questions related to products
  • Keeping cash wrap neat, organized and maintained with all supplies
  • Gift wrapping
  • Answering the phone and direct calls to the appropriate person
  • Communicate with management on operational issues as they arise
  • Assist, when necessary, with operational and back of house activities

When needed to assist sales associates during down time:

  • Assist with merchandising/folding.
  • Remove unwanted merchandise from fitting rooms
  • Review merchandise on the selling floor
  • Fold, straighten, fill-in, and ensure correct placement of merchandise throughout the day
  • Monitor and maintain visual merchandising standards daily
  • Comply with loss prevention guidelines and deter shoplifting by providing excellent customer service
  • Assist, when necessary, with operational and back of house activities

About you - the perfect candidate

  • Passionate about customer service, with a happy demeanor
  • Able to work as a team player
  • Adhere to all policies & procedures of the store
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask

Experience Preferred

  • 1-3 years in retail/service industry
  • Cash handling/cashier experience necessary

Minimum Educational Level

  • High School Graduate or equivalent

Requirements of the Job

  • Operate point of sale software
  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Work in a fast paced environment
  • Bend and stretch to stock shelves
  • Available to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays, as determined by management based on the needs of the business
  • Consistent and reliable attendance
