Percy Liang

Percy is a leading voice on the capabilities, limitations, and responsible development of large-scale AI systems.

Michael Bernstein
- Professor of CS at Stanford, Sloan Research Fellow, and bestselling author. Michael's work has shaped the modern field of human-centered AI.

The Role

We're looking for Senior Software Engineers to build the product layer of Simile, creating the tools and interfaces that let users explore and understand large-scale generative simulations. You'll join a small, high-trust team that shapes product direction, ships end-to-end features, and turns research into real-world experiences.

As one of our Product Engineers you will:

  • build intuitive, high-impact interfaces that bring generative simulations to life.
  • work across the stack to connect data and simulation outputs to dynamic front-end experiences.
  • prototype quickly, ship thoughtfully, and iterate based on real user feedback.
  • shape our product architecture, design system, and overall engineering culture.

What we look for:

  • Demonstrated experience building and shipping high-quality software end-to-end.
  • Strength in one or more areas across backend systems, frontend engineering, or full-stack product development.
  • Proficiency with Python, TypeScript/React, or equivalent modern stacks.
  • Strong product sensibility and an eye for design and user experience.
  • Curiosity about agent-based systems, AI, and complex simulations or a desire to learn quickly.
