Restoration Project Manager

Lyon Restoration is a locally owned property Restoration Contractor, providing 24/7 emergency response and disaster recovery for residential and commercial properties throughout the Bay Area.
The Mitigation Manager will oversee and optimize all aspects of the Mitigation Department, including Mold Remediation, Water Mitigation, Smoke/Fire Cleaning, and Contents projects, from initial assessment to completion. This role combines field leadership with strategic planning to ensure the successful delivery of quality jobs on budget. The Mitigation Manager will lead day-to-day operations, supervise teams, and drive growth while maintaining quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project Management:
-Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation. Collaborate with clients and third-parties/agencies to establish project goals and expectations.
-Direct on-site supervision of field labor, subcontractors, and other emergency services personnel.
-Stay informed about federal, state, and local regulations related to water, fire & smoke mitigation/remediation and ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with these standards.
-Maintain open and clear communication with clients, team members, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues promptly.
-Ensure all jobs meet or exceed quality standards in workmanship, client experience, and speed.
-Monitor and achieve margin goals both per job and throughout the year.
-Procure necessary materials, equipment, and tools for projects. Ensure that equipment is properly maintained.
Team Leadership:
-Recruit, onboard, train, and retain emergency services team members, including mitigation and contents teams.
-Develop and execute individual and group learning plans to ensure field excellence and alignment with industry standards.
-Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a high-performance culture.
Operational Excellence:
-Drive operational performance across emergency services.
-Establish, refine, and implement systems and processes to enhance revenue growth and profitability.
-Ensure compliance with industry standards and company protocols.
Client Satisfaction and Quality Assurance:
-Maintain a client-focused approach to deliver exceptional service and results.
-Proactively address client concerns and ensure a seamless restoration experience.
-Conduct quality checks to ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
Strategic Collaboration:
-Partner with leadership to align operational goals with company objectives.
-Provide regular updates and performance metrics to senior management.
-Contribute to the development of strategic plans for the emergency services division.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years in project management, emergency services, or restoration industry leadership roles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce compliance.
- Strong understanding of budget management, scope development, and achieving margin goals.
- Experience in recruiting, training, and retaining field personnel.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT, AMRT) preferred
- Experience with Xactimate and insurance carriers
- Valid CA driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
