Compensation: $48 – $72 per hour (based on experience, specialty, and credentials)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, fully licensed Mental Health Counselor / Psychotherapist (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) to join our growing practice in Reston or Ashburn, VA. This is a full-time, in-person position with a minimum expectation of 35 scheduled client sessions per week.

The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based therapy and values autonomy within a structured, collegial practice setting.

Responsibilities

↬ Provide individual, couple, and/or family therapy using evidence-based, client-centered approaches

↬ Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system

↬ Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinical providers as needed

↬ Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary case discussions

↬ Maintain consistent availability for scheduled patient appointments

↬ Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in clinical practice

Qualifications

Required:

↬ Active Virginia license as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (independent licensure required)

↬ Minimum of a master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field

↬ Strong clinical skills and prior therapy experience

↬ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

↬ Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care

Preferred:

↬ Doctoral-level clinicians (PsyD or PhD) encouraged to apply

↬ Certification or advanced training in EMDR, DBT, CBT, Gottman Method, or trauma-informed approaches

↬ Experience with children, adolescents, or couples therapy

↬ Familiarity with collaborative, multidisciplinary care settings
