Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Project Management Specialist to support the 777X program in Berkely, MO.

The selected candidate will lead projects involving cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams. This position will focus on program critical projects, including rate readiness and rate-enabling.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards

  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives

  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project

  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers

  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion

  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives

  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders

  • Leads and facilitates program-level meetings

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years' experience in finance, scheduling, industrial engineering, change management, strategy, program management, or project management role

  • Experience in the implementation and use of Program Management Best Practices

  • Experience in leading or managing a cross-functional team

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Experience with RIO (Risk, Issues, and Opportunities) in project planning

  • Experience with Boeing Virtual Cube (BVC)

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives

  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems

Work Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
