Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Assistant Regional Director to support operations across our Athens and Atlanta school networks.

This pivotal leader will partner closely with the Regional Director and School Directors to uphold operational excellence, regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, and a culture of care and accountability.

The Assistant Regional Director will provide hands-on leadership to ensure each school operates efficiently, delivers high-quality education, and maintains the trust of families and staff.

What You'll Do

Operational Leadership & Risk Management

  • Support day-to-day operations across up to ten schools in the Athens and Atlanta regions.
  • Partner with the Regional Director to identify and address staffing, safety, and compliance risks.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop School Directors to ensure consistency with Beacon Hill's policies and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and professional integrity in every decision.

Financial Oversight

  • Collaborate with school leaders on budgets, enrollment goals, and staffing to achieve financial sustainability.
  • Monitor key cost drivers such as labor and operating expenses and recommend strategies for optimization.
  • Assist in forecasting, budget planning, and long-term growth initiatives.

Enrollment & Family Engagement

  • Support School Directors in executing local marketing and enrollment strategies to maintain full capacity.
  • Analyze data and market trends to forecast enrollment cycles and retention opportunities.
  • Strengthen family engagement through proactive communication and community partnerships.

Educational Quality

  • Support Directors in implementing the Frog Street curriculum and ensuring developmentally appropriate classroom practices.
  • Conduct site visits and classroom observations to monitor instructional quality and staff performance.
  • Collaborate with teaching teams to sustain a positive, nurturing, and high-standard learning environment.

Compliance & Licensing

  • Ensure all centers meet or exceed Georgia DECAL regulations, health and safety standards, and Quality Rated expectations.
  • Conduct internal audits and readiness checks to guarantee continuous compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison with licensing agencies and assist Directors with the timely resolution of compliance matters.

Staff Development & Retention

  • Partner with the Regional Director on recruitment, onboarding, and leadership development for Directors and Assistant Directors.
  • Promote a culture of mentorship, recognition, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster team morale and model strong communication and leadership behaviors.

Community & Culture

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Beacon Hill Schools across the Athens and Atlanta markets.
  • Support family and community engagement initiatives that enhance visibility and trust.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism and care in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in early childhood education (multi-site experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven success in operations, budget management, enrollment growth, and staff development.
  • Strong working knowledge of Georgia DECAL licensing, Quality Rated, and CAPS programs.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the Athens and Atlanta childcare markets a plus.
