Overview

Forsyth County Schools are seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to join our educational team. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience. These positions are essential in fostering a classroom environment that ensures all students receive the guidance they need to succeed academically and socially.

Duties

• Assist teachers in lesson planning and curriculum development to create engaging educational experiences.
• Support students with diverse learning needs, by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Facilitate classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment conducive to learning.
• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce lessons taught by the teacher.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers regarding student performance.
• Help organize classroom materials and resources to ensure a smooth learning process.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to working with children and educational practices.

Requirements

• Hold an Associate's degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution OR have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment. If eligibility is established through the assessment, the applicant must also hold a minimum of a high school diploma or state approved high school equivalency.
