Position Summary

Georg North America with operations in Roanoke, VA and Alpharetta, GA is the subsidiary for sales, service, and engineering for the entire GEORG product line in Canada, USA and Mexico.

We are looking to hire a Field Service Engineer with background in Industrial Automation and Controls to expand our field service team at the Alpharetta, GA office location.

The position will require 80-90% travel to various project sites.

Your tasks

You will support our team with the installation, commissioning and service of our machine- and automation systems.

Expansion and adaptation to the Siemens control system, taking into account mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic system components.

Adaptation of the PLC safety program taking into account the risk assessment.

Integration and testing of new software modules for existing and new machine applications.

Commissioning of the systems and testing of all functions.

Acceptance and handover of the machine to the customer, including operator training and production support.

Maintenance and service of existing machines.

Your profile

You are a flexible all-rounder with expertise in industrial automation. Maintaining a high level of accountability and precision, you ensure that our complex machines and systems operate to the satisfaction of our customers.

Several years of experience in automated plant engineering, production optimization and maintenance.

PLC programming experience with SIEMENS PLCs, HMIs and Drives.

Experience with identifying and resolving issues related to electrical and mechanical system components.

High level of commitment, flexibility and mobility.

Effective written and oral communication skills. German language skill is a plus.

Pay: $60, $110,000.00 per year
