GENERAL ACCOUNTANT II

We are seeking a professional who is motivated and understands generally accepted accounting principles. This individual will take an active role in helping deliver the highest quality financials and support. The candidate must be versatile across multiple technical disciplines, be able to think on their feet, work with others in a team environment, and enjoy learning. Projects have a wide variety in scope and focus, and the candidate should be able to manage multiple tasks at the same time.

Reports to: Controller

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepares journal entries through compiling and analyzing account information
  • Balance Sheet account analysis and reconciliation
  • Assist in Payroll accounting
  • Fixed Asset accounting: additions, disposals and depreciation for book and tax records
  • Prepare analysis on company's overhead costs each month
  • Assist in lease accounting management and ASC 842 implementation
  • Assist in Contract Management.
  • Support the Controller in other areas as needed.

Requirements:

  • 1 year minimum experience in an accounting office environment
  • Self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented

  • Excel in a team environment with cross functional groups

  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks and projects

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel

Education Requirement:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting required.
