Now Hiring: Restoration Technician — SERVPRO of Lafayette

The services we provide can range from residential and commercial emergency disaster response to non-emergency cleaning. You will have the opportunity to create a career focused in water damage, mold remediation, fire, smoke and soot damage, mold remediation, trauma scene cleanup, reconstruction, contents packing, handling and processing and much more. We are always interested in speaking to anyone that needs to find meaning in the work that they do instead of collecting a check from a dead end job or punching a clock in a factory.

Property restoration is a challenging and fast paced industry. Deadlines and priorities change frequently. Work hours change often and working 50+ hours is common. What key areas will you be responsible for?

• Learning restoration processes.
• Performing cleaning & restoration tasks according to industry standards.
• Communicating with the team and documenting projects at a high level.
• Vehicles, equipment and facility maintenance.
• Contributing to a team culture and a positive work environment.

What does winning look like?

• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
• Perform demolition and cleaning activities while protecting the customers space and belongings.
• Ensure work vehicles are stocked with all necessary supplies for each project, unloaded and cleaned daily.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Learn and develop restoration skills to elevate the SERVPRO Brand and grow within the company.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Perform tasks as expected and meet project timeline goals.
• Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance

What we are looking for in a technician

• You care about how you look, how you act, what you say and the work you produce.
• You are honest, respectful, dependable, a team player and will hold yourself accountable for your actions.
• Self motivated to work hard and learn a trade. \"You gotta grow or you gotta go.\"
• Flexible and willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends. This is not a Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm position.
• You are able to read/write legibly and use mobile software.
• You have reliable 24/7/365 transportation and a valid driver's license
• You are able to lift 50–100 lbs, work at heights, and work in tight spaces.
• Strong work ethic to hustle and get things done efficiently and with attention to detail.
• Professional experience in restoration, carpentry, plumbing, drywall, painting is highly desired but not necessary.
