Sales & Merchandising Specialist Needed (Buffalo and surrounding metro area):

Piston is a small business with big business habits and growth. We are a regional Merchandising Agency servicing large food brands in the WNY Region since 2015. Our team consists of great people with all levels of experience and backgrounds, from all across the Northeast US. We seek strong communicators and problem solvers to join our team to help our company, as well as our clients grow in the grocery retail environment.

The right candidate will perform tasks on a part-time basis with flexible hours ranging from 7am-2pm within a 4 to 5 day work week (will include weekends), based on store assignments.

  • 20-25 hours/week (with opportunity to grow)
  • Travel required to represent clients brands throughout the Rochester region. This will include primarily, but not limited too; Henrietta, Macedon, Webster, & Victor NY

Individuals will be responsible and challenged at their assigned store(s) to complete:

  • Develop strong relationships with store and department management
  • Point Of Sale (POS) installation objectives
  • Increase brand visibility and manage inventory
  • Communicate effectively with Merchandising Account Manager

The primary objective is to develop relationships and use field marketing tactics that will drive in-store sales volume for their assigned product lines.

Accepted candidates will undergo a training program,.

Compensation:

- Hourly rate is competitive based on skill and experience between $16-$18.00/hour

- Mileage reimbursement available

- Paid Drive Time

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:

- Retail/merchandising/brand ambassador experience is preferred

- Valid Drivers License

- Reliable Transportation

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Detail oriented and organized

- Effective time management skills

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Must act in accordance with code of ethics

- Comfortable using retail technology, apps, and communication platforms

- Ability to read and understand instructions

- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends

- Ability to lift 40+ pounds

- Ability to work in cold or refrigerated conditions

- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle available for daily use
