**Job Overview – Senior Treasury Accountant:

Compensation: $110,000 – $140,000/year + bonus

Location: New York, NY

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)**
Take on a key role as a Senior Treasury Accountant with our client in New York, NY (Hybrid). In this role, you will monitor daily cash and loan balances, oversee wire transfers, and manage banking relationships across entities. You will also handle reconciliations, payment processing, and account maintenance while ensuring compliance and accuracy. Ideal candidates bring treasury and accounting experience in financial services, strong technical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities as the Senior Treasury Accountant:

  • Cash Management: Monitor daily cash and loan balances, oversee entity cash positions, and provide timely updates to senior management.
  • Payments & Wires: Initiate wire transfers, cut checks, and process payments in line with established procedures.
  • Banking Operations: Open, close, and maintain bank accounts while coordinating with treasury, operations, and banking partners.
  • Transaction Processing: Apply daily cash receipts and withdrawals, log invoices, and ensure accurate entry into accounting systems.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure all transactions comply with treasury policies and internal control requirements.
  • Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries and reconciliations, including prepaids, tax, and audit accruals.

Qualifications for the Senior Treasury Accountant:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of treasury or accounting experience focused on cash management, reconciliations, and payment processing, with accounts payable experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required, with knowledge of Workday or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and communicative, with the ability to manage priorities in fast-paced environments while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork.
