Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director to lead the F135 Sustainment Strategy and Business Acquisition Team. The Associate Director of Sustainment Strategy and Business Acquisition is primarily responsible for the execution and acquisition integration, working with business value stream leaders/teams that directly support the F135 Program to provide strategic guidance in support of all business acquisition proposals.
The Associate Director will be engaged with each business pursuit from decision through contract award, serving as the direct link for the F135 Sustainment program office. This role provides an opportunity to understand every aspect of the F135 Program and work with functional groups that support the program.
What You Will Do:
- Leadership: Lead the strategy and business acquisition team, developing and directing strategy for specific sustainment program initiatives and proposal efforts.
- Integration Planning: Develop integration plans and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration into sustainment proposals.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may impact the proposal's success. Develop contingency plans and alternative approaches as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements throughout the business acquisition gated process to achieve timely contract awards.
- Communication: Brief Senior Leadership and secure commitment through the gated process. Build strong relationships and interact well with the USG customer.
- Customer Requirements: Assess customer requirements and participate in working groups.
- Business Acquisition Process: Implement and monitor the P&W ME Business Acquisition Process.
- Budget Management: Support management of the bids & proposal budget and the MP# creation process.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with proposal manager and program manager to develop capture/win strategy. Lead the proposal review process and support lessons learned events.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure deliverables are received on time and within customer requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in logistics support, supply, procurement, proposal development, or program/project management.
- Proven experience leading successful teams.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in logistics, supply, procurement, proposal, program/project management, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of military customers, propulsion system sustainment, and government proposals (FAR Part 15).
- Adept at managing cross-functional teams and leading cross-functional meetings.
- Success in building business acquisition teams for sustainment efforts
- Strong communication and relationship skills, ability to self-start, analyze complex situations and proposals, excellent business judgment, and customer focus.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
