Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is now hiring Full-time Automotive Mechanics to support an automotive Tier 1 supplier in Orlando, FL. We are seeking motivated candidates to join our growing team who have hands-on mechanical experience and are ready to apply their skills to experimental prototype vehicles. Full-time Automotive Mechanics will perform a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain vehicle performance by working off repair orders or leader instructions to completing repairs and performing inspections
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, including part replacements
  • Follow and interpret service procedures to ensure accurate, high-quality work
  • Document all diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance in vehicle service records
  • Keep shop equipment in good working order through proper use, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
  • Support a clean, organized shop by participating in daily upkeep
Shift:
  • AM day shift: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (Monday - Friday)
Pay:
  • $24.00/hour
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and a good driving record
  • Mechanical ability and ability to operate shop equipment
  • Must be comfortable working on a computer/laptop interface, using programs such as but not limited to: Slack, Teams, Google Sheets and Excel, along with proprietary diagnostic software (training provided) and interpreting code lines (training provided)
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Has own tools with rolling toolbox and be able to work overtime and weekends
  • Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, or sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and to regularly reach with hands and arms
 
Preferred but not required:
  • Certificate in Automotive Technology or related
  • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s)
  • State Mechanic Certification(s)
  • Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancers
