JOB OVERVIEW

The Quality Engineer is responsible for determining production standards for Robinson Inc products by establishing quality control systems and setting product requirements. Primary duties include identifying the specifications for an ideal product, determining an appropriate level of variation, and monitoring quality assurance performance to align with customer requirements.

ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)

  • Develop and implement quality standards and quality control systems.
  • Develops corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
  • Reviews codes, specifications, and processes.
  • Identify new process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Monitor, analyze and report quality performance and statistical findings, including tracking nonconformances.
  • Assists with the development of standard procedures and instructions/process flow charts.
  • Review and update business procedures and documents based on customer requirements.
  • Train and guide resources as needed.
  • Produce PPAP's and related documentation (Control Plans, PFMEA, etc.).
  • Work collaboratively with customers and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience in a quality role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASQ certification (Certified Quality Auditor / Certified Quality Engineer).
  • MS Word, Excel, PPT, Visio, SharePoint, Mini-Tab.
  • Strong interpersonal skills

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • PPAP (Level 1-5)
  • Process flow/documentation
  • ISO 9001:2015 experience
  • Lean/6 SIGMA, 6S
  • Green Belt or Black Belt preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel to other Robinson facilities may be required.
