Position Title: Financial Services Intern

Company Services: An Ameriprise Private Wealth Advisory Practice with an office location in the State of California assisting clients in meeting their financial goals with an emphasis on creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates the practice.

Summary: Envisage Wealth, an independent franchise of Ameriprise Financial, is looking for a student interested in financial planning and the personal finance industry to join our team. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.

Position Information: Paid Internship, In Person

Location: Calabasas, CA

Working Hours: 15 hours per week through the end of the spring term.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum GPA of 3.2 and currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year institution.
  • Preferred Major in Finance or Business
  • Previous finance internship is preferred

Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Proven problem-solving ability – apply and balance conceptual and analytical thinking by breaking down complex problems, evaluating alternative sources of action and their likely outcomes, and selecting the best alternative.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and act effectively to propose creative solutions
  • Self-confidence/perseverance/strong work ethic – remain positive and maintain progress towards a goal
  • Goal oriented – highly motivated and resourceful to achieve results
  • Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability, and ethical behavior
  • Ability to multi-task and still pay close attention to detail and accuracy

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Client meeting preparation
  • Client meeting follow-up tasks
  • Assist in scheduling meetings
  • Assist in new client on-boarding processes
  • Perform other administrative related support duties
