Job Description
As a
Senior Manager, Social Media
you will lead the development and execution of integrated social media strategies across multiple client accounts. Acting as a bridge between Manager and Director roles, you will combine hands-on campaign oversight with strategic planning and team leadership. You will manage a portfolio of 5–7 clients, ensuring flawless execution of organic, paid, and influencer programs while driving measurable business outcomes.

In this role, your ability to think strategically, motivate teams, and maintain operational excellence will be essential. You will play a key role in shaping client programs, mentoring managers and associates, and supporting new business initiatives. You will also contribute to agency thought leadership by sharing insights and best practices.

As the Senior Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leading planning sessions, overseeing major programs, and ensuring alignment with broader marketing objectives. You will proactively identify opportunities for growth and innovation, while maintaining strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.

Additionally, you will manage multiple direct reports, foster their professional development and ensure high performance across teams. By embodying these responsibilities, you will drive client satisfaction, strengthen agency capabilities, and position yourself for future leadership roles.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
You'll oversee a portfolio of 5–7 clients and lead most programs on each account. Your responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement multi-channel social media strategies aligned with client objectives, leveraging the Hotwire Way planning blueprint.
  • Campaign Oversight: Ensure timely, high-quality execution of organic, paid, and influencer campaigns across platforms.
  • Team Management: Mentor managers and associates; foster collaboration across diverse teams and workstyles.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with creative, PR, research, and paid media teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Interpret performance data to provide actionable insights and optimize campaigns for maximum impact.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders; lead planning sessions and quarterly reviews.
  • New Business Support: Contribute to proposals, pitches, and identify organic growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay ahead of social trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies; share insights with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

Experience:*

  • 6–8 years in social media or digital marketing roles, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Proven track record of managing complex social media campaigns and driving measurable results.
  • Experience in developing integrated strategies and leading cross-functional teams.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of social platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to connect social tactics to business goals.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and ability to translate data into insights.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

Requirements:

  • Certifications in social/digital marketing preferred.

Salary Range:

  • $85,000-$110,000
