Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various technical areas. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining equipment, and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers and electrical systems.
  • Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs and modifications.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to interpret schematics and perform necessary repairs on machinery.
  • Oversee facilities maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff or contractors during maintenance projects.
  • Engage in residential painting tasks as required to maintain aesthetic standards.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and inquiries.
  • Forklift certification

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in maintenance roles, preferably within manufacturing or facilities management environments.
  • Strong electrical experience with the ability to work with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Previous supervisory experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • A commitment to safety protocols and best practices in all maintenance activities.
