Position Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations on the work floor, ensuring that productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. This role serves as the key link between management and floor staff, providing direction, resolving operational issues, and supporting smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

· Monitor daily activities to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.

· Allocate tasks to staff and adjust workloads as needed to meet production or service targets.

· Oversee the operation of the floor each day.

Staff Supervision & Support

· Supervise, coach, and motivate floor staff to achieve performance goals.

· Conduct briefings at the start of shifts to outline priorities and expectations.

· Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.

Quality & Safety Compliance

· Ensure all work meets quality standards and follows operational procedures.

· Ensure compliance with safety procedures and proactively identify and address potential risks or hazards.

· Identify and address potential hazards or operational bottlenecks.

· Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Communication & Coordination

· Function as the liaison between management and floor teams, relaying information, updates, and policy changes.

· Coordinate with other departments (e.g., shipping, engineering, project management) to support seamless operations.

Reporting & Record-Keeping

· Track productivity and key performance indicators.

· Provide regular updates to managers on performance and recommendations for improvement.

Skills and Competencies:

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Bilingual (Spanish/English); Clear and effective communication skills in both languages.

· Ability to plan/follow schedules, set targets, and work with urgency to achieve goals.

· Skilled visual inspector; has a keen eye to identify non-compliance with policies, regulations, or standards and ability to suggest solutions for deficiencies or problems.

· Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

· Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, 5S, and waste reduction

. Identify opportunities for improvement in process, workflow, and training.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

· Fast-paced work environment, standing or moving for extended periods.

· May require lifting, bending, or operating machinery

· Flexible schedule including evenings, and weekends as needed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

· High school diploma. GED, or equivalent

· 5 years of prior experience in manufacturing or construction

· 2 years of prior experience in a supervisory role

· Valid CA driver license, Class C

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65, $80,000.00 per year
