The Office of the Secretary of State is recruiting to fill a permanent full-time Information Technology Supervisor II position in the Information Technology Division (ITD).
Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Supervisor II, is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the daily operations of the agency's IT Help Desk. The incumbent supervises and supports help desk staff, oversees service requests, upholds customer service standards, ensures compliance with agency policies, and maintains efficient and reliable support operations that deliver timely, high-quality technical assistance to end users. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills to manage customer service operations. This position is eligible to telework, which is contingent upon operational needs and scheduling. The incumbent may be required to work overtime on short notice.
Desirable Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of help desk or technical support experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with ticketing systems
- Solid understanding of desktop operating systems, networking fundamentals, and enterprise applications.
- Commitment to customer service excellence.

Working Conditions
This job advertisement indicates whether this position is eligible for telework. All employees who telework are required to be California residents, in accordance with Government Code 14200, and may be required to report to the Secretary of State's Headquarters (Sacramento), when needed, and on short notice.
