Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Site Patrol in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication skills will allow you to deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the warehouse, distribution areas, and facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control procedures at entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding any security-related matters.
• Support the enforcement of site rules and regulations to help maintain order within the logistics and distribution environment.
• Complete detailed incident and activity reports in accordance with Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
• Must have intermediate computer skills.
