Immediate position available for a highly motivated Medical Assistant who is interested in joining a fun urogynecology practice. In this position you will work with a team of Medical Assistants, providers and support staff to provide superior care to patients. You will help support the efficient operation of the medical office and assist providers and patients during a variety of procedures. You will be an integral member of a close knit team who will work together to provide support, management, organization and communication between providers, patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and document medical history
  • Organize and help schedule appointments
  • Update medical records in an electronic medical record
  • Assist during medical examinations and procedures
  • Set up and prepare and maintain treatment/exam rooms
  • Clean and autoclave medical instruments
  • Perform procedures as they relate to the visit (vital signs, straight cath., etc)

Skills

  • Experience as a medical assistant preferred
  • Computer skills
  • Urology or gynecology experience a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of medical office preferred
  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Certified medical assistant or degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
