Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Order Management Specialist at Applied Textiles in Byron Center, MI. The Order Management Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to order processing, ensuring accurate management of orders, effective communication with customers, and providing top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities

Enters customer receipt and orders into computer system to initiate order fulfillment process.

Manages purchase orders and any related paperwork for each specific order.

Compile and file all relevant order documentation.

Works with, and assigns, internal quality department and product development to qualify product for appropriate processing specification based on order requirements.

Responds to customer order changes by entering information into system and communicating changes to appropriate internal departments and the customer in a timely manner.

Notifies customers of order updates and general order information, along with providing tracking numbers and shipment documents.

Coordinates order expediting process by communicating request to appropriate internal customers and reporting back to external customer regarding lead time status.

Works with Account Manager and various internal departments to service and manage customer expectations.

Works with internal quality department and product development to qualify product for appropriate processing specification.

Responsible for pre-receiving fabric into the system, relaying information to internal and external customers

Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.

Proven interpersonal communications skills, including phone, oral and written skills.

Typing skills of at least 60 words per minute.

Understanding of the order fulfillment processes.

Ability to follow detailed procedures accurately and consistently.

Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Good performance and attendance history.
