About the Role
LEAD Technical is hiring a
Senior Network Operations Engineer
to serve as the on-site lead for data-center physical network operations. This position will oversee a small team of engineers, manage escalations, and ensure operational excellence in compliance with strict service-level targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary escalation point for network incidents and change requests
- Supervise engineers performing installation, labeling, and remediation work
- Conduct quality assurance checks for fiber routing, cabling standards, and documentation accuracy
- Lead on-site coordination with client Network Engineering teams during incident bridges or planned maintenance
- Ensure daily operational logs and reports meet compliance and audit requirements
- Drive training, mentoring, and skill development for team members
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in physical network operations or data-center engineering
- Proven leadership or team-lead experience in hyperscale or colocation facilities
- Expertise in structured cabling systems, fiber optics, and patch management
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with incident management tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
- CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent certification required; CCNP or higher preferred
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
