Hydraulic Valve Technician

We are seeking a Hydraulic Valve Technician that will work with the Operations and Service team to produce high-quality hydraulic power units and other assemblies for our customer base. What You Will Do: Daily duties of the role include but are not limited to –

• Perform activities related to the assembly and testing of hydraulic valves and manifolds.
• Operate hand tools such as torque wrenches.
• Conduct in process measurements to ensure product quality.
• Troubleshoot testing failures to determine root cause.
• Utilize SAP system to document activities and execute material movements.
• Participate in process optimization projects to continuously improve assembly and testing area.
• Perform 5S activities in the production area to maintain an organized and visually clear area.
• Propose and assist in the implementation of projects to increase employee efficiency.
• Contribute to the plant Continuous Improvement Process by identifying and eliminating waste using Lean tools.
• Promote plant Safety Focus by identifying safety concerns, eliminating potential injury risks, and demonstrating proper PPE usage.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Assist process engineering to maintain work instructions.
• Assist with picking components from logistics warehouse.
• Assist with production and facility maintenance tasks as needed.

What You Will Need: A qualified candidate must possess the ability to–

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a production environment.
• Prior SAP experience.
• Ability to read measurement equipment such as pressure gauges and flow meters.
• Dexterity to be able to manually grasp, manipulate, and assemble small components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications for assembly and testing of products.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with mathematics (whole numbers, fractions, decimals, linear & angular measure, formulas, coordinate systems, imperial and metric units).

What We Would Prefer:

• Experience in hydraulic valve manufacturing.
• Technical certification or degree.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to interact with employees, vendors, and customers in a highly professional manner.
• Time management, punctuality, and reliability.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office platform.
• Ability to work alone with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks and seek assistance when appropriate.
• Ability to identify issues and to contribute to the determination of repairs that are needed.
• Ability to work at heights and/or in confined spaces.
