Job Description

As a Security Officer - Flex Perimeter Patrol in Rockville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver outstanding customer service while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

Provide excellent customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at government locations.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.Assist with access control and monitor entrances to help to deter unauthorized entry.Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site procedures.Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when appropriate.Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.Must have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.A guard card or license is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
