Job Overview

Northeast Ohio Property Management company seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Property Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of properties to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of construction processes, enabling the inspector to identify potential issues and provide actionable insights. Service area includes Stark, Summit, Portage, and Cuyahoga counties, primarily Akron/Canton area.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits and perform thorough interior and exterior inspections of residential, commercial, and apartment buildings.
  • Utilize company software systems to complete detailed inspection reports, including photos, descriptions of issues, and recommendations.
  • Submit completed inspection reports to Company Management and property owner clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in overseeing repair work, ensuring quality completion and adherence to property standards.
  • Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks that do not require a licensed contractor.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, contractors, and management regarding property condition and repair updates.
  • Analyze inspection data and compile detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and necessary corrective actions.
  • Provide general cost estimates to address identified repairs or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and communications with management and property owners.

Experience

  • Home inspection/Property Inspection experience preferred
  • Proven experience in construction inspection or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and standards in the construction industry is essential.
  • Prior construction/remodeling experience is preferred.
