Ignite Digital, has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer in Charleston, SC to support our client engagements within the federal government. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong hands-on experience with software development within the federal government and a strong work ethic. This position serves an important role in supporting a DevSecOps software development program and producing business process improvements. The individual will implement "best in class" system engineering practices for government systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, support, and maintain the organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software.
  • Review previous documents and prepare up-to-date documents/modes/reports to meet consumer requests.
  • Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues.
  • Provide technical directions for IT support staff.
  • Ensure constant availability of technical resources. 
  • Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety.
  • Perform end-user support.

Qualifications:

  • Active DoD security clearance
  • BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science.
  • Six (6)+ years' work-related experience.
  • Prior experience supporting Federal government systems at the Enterprise level.
  • Security+ certification

Salary: $90k+ to align with education and experience
