Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ada Developer to support mission-critical embedded software projects in high-reliability environments. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in Ada programming, particularly in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or medical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using Ada 2022.
• Translate system-level requirements into robust, testable Ada code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and integrate hardware, software, and human interface requirements.
• Conduct software validation and verification in simulation and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
• Implement efficient algorithms and communication protocols for resource-constrained systems.
• Ensure software meets safety, security, and performance standards.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and design specifications.
• Support debugging, optimization, and enhancement of existing Ada-based applications.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development with a strong focus on Ada.
• Proven experience in mission-critical or safety-critical systems (e.g., aerospace, defense, automotive, medical).
• Deep understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded development tools.
• Experience with multi-threaded and distributed systems, SoM, BSP, and low-level hardware interfaces.
• Proficiency in embedded debugging tools (e.g., gdb, JTAG, oscilloscopes).
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and embedded cybersecurity principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with C or C++ in addition to Ada.
• Exposure to model-based engineering tools (e.g., Cameo).
• Experience with embedded UI development.
• Knowledge of safety standards such as DO-178C or ISO 26262.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
• Active clearance is preferred

The pay range for this position is $ $86.54/hr.
