Job Title: Helpdesk Technician
Location: Houston / Sugar Land, TX
Duration: 13+ Weeks (with Possible Extension)
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Helpdesk Technician to provide technical support to end users. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to IT support.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or in person to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software applications.
- Manage user accounts, including password resets and access permissions.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT support or system administrators as needed.
- Document issues, resolutions, and updates accurately in the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Support new hire onboarding by preparing and configuring user equipment.
- Provide guidance and basic training to users on technology tools and IT best practices.
- Maintain awareness of company systems, IT policies, and security protocols.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in helpdesk or technical support preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and/or mobile operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking, printers, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
