Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dependable Mentors to build positive, supportive relationships with youth involved with the organization. The Mentor role focuses on empowering youth, strengthening decision-making skills, and promoting healthy family and peer relationships through consistent guidance, encouragement, and exposure to new experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a positive, trusting mentoring relationship with assigned youth
- Empower youth to address current challenges and develop healthy coping strategies for the future
- Serve as a positive role model by practicing clear communication and appropriate boundaries
- Actively listen and provide encouragement and emotional support
- Recognize and encourage youth strengths, talents, and personal growth
- Engage youth in activities outside the home to expose them to new opportunities and experiences
- Maintain confidentiality of all participants and program information
- Communicate regularly with families, caseworkers, and the Director
- Attend monthly supervision meetings with the Director
- Complete required application, background checks, and training
Qualifications
- Willingness to provide emotional, social, and practical support within established boundaries
- Strong understanding of personal boundaries and ability to set appropriate limits
- Belief that all individuals have strengths and the ability to grow
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
- Successful completion of background check and required training
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliability, patience, and empathy
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals
